Primus Gloria

The famous trophy called the Primus Gloria is awarded to the ultimate victor of the Arena Brutalis. It is not only a great honor for the individual winners but a huge distinction for the empire, faction or group who wins it. The Primus Gloria is a huge trophy roughly 8 feet tall, made of solid gold. The trophy sports the blood seal, a seal blessed by Lord Midaz. This seal signifies the bloodshed during the games and honors the fallen. Around the blood seal near the lip of the trophy is a scripture that reads, “May the victor of this Primus Gloria be blessed and honored for their deeds during the games. You may gloat now.” And everyone who has won this prestigious award, did just that.

The creation of the Primus Gloria is a bit unknown. Lord Midaz was given the credit for this trophy but the actual creator itself is unknown. Some speculate angels brought it from heaven, while others think Lord Midaz made a deal with the devil. Many stories and rumors point to a famous goldsmith named Au Chains, whose work is a thing of legend and myth. No one knows for sure if they existed, but if anyone could find Au Chains, it was Lord Midaz. It is said, that Lord Midaz himself infused the gold with his only sugary blood, and that it took 100 days of maximum effort to make.

When won, the Primus Gloria is used in a variety of ways by the victor for one year. Winners have drank from it, bathed in it, and other unmentionable things. It is thoroughly washed at the start of a new year of games. But everyone revers it, and it hardly ever gets damaged, as that is treated as the worst thing you could do.

When the Lord Midaz was killed, and the Animus Brutalis ceased, the Primus Gloria vanished. Many empires searched for it to claim it for their own, but none could find it. However, the Primus Gloria made a magical return when the Five Quinctus revived the Arena Brutalis. In all it’s glory, the Primus Gloria is again given to the victor of the games, which gives them the ultimate power to gloat.
