Hoppes is a fierce empire consisting of a species ancestrally derived from rabbits and hares. They are one of the most intelligent empires on the planet, known for creating amazing energy weaponry. Once the prey in the animal kingdom, Hoppes has now become a predator. The people of Hoppes, the Hoppites, live in a very orderly and intelligent society. Their education programs focus on technology, teaching it as soon as a young Hoppite can walk. Hoppites also enjoy running and speed-based sports, feeling the adrenaline rush. Hoppites nature is not as monstrous about violence as other empires, like Meowkin or Caninia, and they are seen in war as more of a defender vs attacker. In the past, Hoppes has battled against all the great empires like Meowkin and Caninia. After the incident with Scratchran and Pawkins during the Meowkin Green Acres campaign, Hoppites and Meowkin have created a trade partnership. Both empires would also combine forces against Caninia in future wars.

With their genius, Hoppites created quick and efficient Animus Engines. These Animus Engines focus on speed and power. It takes a very skilled pilot to handle the Hoppite Animus Engine, and in the right hands, no one can stop them. Hoppite Animus Engines can leap to taller places than other Animus Engines, run faster and longer, and are way lighter. But because of their design, their Animus Engines are a bit of a glass canon. These Animus Engines cannot take damage, and always rely on dodging. Their philosophy, "Why get hit if you don't have to?" Since their Animus Engines are fairly fragile, Hoppite engineers found that making their Animus Engines look scary or fierce helped them in battle, almost like a mind game with the enemy. When you see a Hoppite Animus Engine, they always look scary and mean, with large fangs, or skeleton like appearances. But what most scared the other empires, were their energy technology and fighting tactics. Even though Hoppites are intelligent, their fighting tactics are to be questioned. With Hoppites being so smart, they always pick the best decision in battle, even if it is not the most noble of ones. Hoppite Animus Engines are known to be back stabbers, coming behind another Animus Engine or T.E.D. and attacking from behind. Other empires like to fight face-to-face and find it an honorable way to fight. Hoppites could care less about this way of fighting, and only look at winning at almost any cost. Even though Meowkin committed war crimes against the Hoppes in the past, Hoppes may be the worst offender; they just hide it better.

Hoppes has developed amazing Animus technology like the Butterfly, and the Photon. All these technologies are design in secret government research labs across the empire. The downfall to these high-tech weapons is it makes other empires jealous. Spies and other infiltrators are highly paid to find the location of these labs, and better yet, steal the technology. Hoppes has very strict security at these labs and follow a near kill-all-intruder mentality at them. Meowkin was granted the first Hoppite energy technology, the Butterfly, that anyone outside Hoppes empire has been given. This was an amazing energy shield that protected an Animus Engine. After competing in the Arena, technology like the Proton was revealed to the other empires, and everyone was jealous. The proton was the most popular piece of technology traded during the Arena Brutalis games era, and boomed Hoppes economy ten-fold. Hoppes not only bettered their society with this money, they also pumped even more into research labs. To this day, the Proton is still one of most traded items in the world.

Hoppes has had its fair share of rulers. Next to the rulers, there is a republic. The republic are the ones that make the decisions for Hoppes, as the King or Queen is the figure head and representative. There are very few significant rulers in Hoppes history, and none want to take credit either. Hoppites are humble, and to show any sign of cockiness is disliked by society. For example, one ruler, named King Buck was mainly responsible for successful battles against the Soarists and Caninians; he directly commanded the military and worked with the generals in every conflict. Being so humble, King Buck gave all credit to the generals and to the fierce Hoppite warriors. King Buck was highly loved by the military for those actions, and they named their greatest Animus Engines after him, BCK-5 or "Buck Tooth".

Even though Hoppites aren't a very angry animalistic race, they love the Arena. Hoppes was the first empire to say yes to the original Midaz Arena Brutalis invite. Even though Hoppes isn't as successful as Meowkin and Caninia in the Arena, Hoppites are proud to represent their empire. Hoppites still win their fair share in the Arena games and take any data from the fights back to their labs to study. Being super smart is a double edge sword for Hoppites, they can analyze and think through every situation choosing the best predicted solution, but they also tend to over-think a situation rather than using gut-instinct. Hoppite Animus Engines are also one of the crowds’ favorite since they look scary and mean. It pleases the crowd to see the fast-moving Animus Engine leap and run across the Arena floor towards an unsuspecting enemy.
