The Caninians are an evolved species of dog who became one of the most powerful empires. Caninia is the arch nemesis of Meowkin, as they have fought each other since the beginning of time. Caninian are known to be very serious, unforgiving, and never surrendering. When the Caninians got a hold of the Animus Engine technology, they focused on enhancing its defense ability. They created unique armor plating and weapons that would cause all types of conditions. Caninians enjoyed beating their opponents slowly, almost like a form of torture. But like all, they enjoy winning the most.

The first ruler of the Caninia was named King Barfolomew Biscuits, also known as the Canine King, around 6440 a.d. Unlike the Mewokin, the Canine King had little trouble uniting the Caninians. Most speculate this is because the Caninians were evolved species of dog that already were trained to obey. The Canine King made his fame when the Meowkin tried to expand under the rule of King Furius. During this expansion, Caninian reversed engineer the Animus Engine, and started to create a large opposing force, almost equal to the Meowkin. On top of that, the Canine King was the person responsible for killing King Furius at Litter Mound Top. The Canine King personally developed the plan and coordinated the successful attack on that day. From this point on, the Caninian empire was a force to be reckoned with.

The Canine King is noted to be the greatest Caninian to ever live. He created a sustainable empire for the Caninians, and grew the empire at remarkable speeds. The Canine King died from old age, with full respect and honors from his people. Subsequent rulers followed and continued the Canine King's legacy. There was Queen Hairiett, King Droolian, and King Chewmine.

The one that stood out from the later kings and queens, was King Wagsmier. King Wagsmier was credited with developing the better Animus Engine, the WG-01S, also known as Wags. The focus of this death machine, was to increase defensive capabilities, and creating a walking fortress. Wags was just that, a heavy-duty killing machine. Older Animus Engine weapons had a hard time damaging Wags, but empires quickly adapted to make stronger weapons to handle Wags. Every Wags is designed with a silver name tag that keeps track of the number of kills the Animus Engine made. The back of Wags uses micro thrusters, that help with movement. Without the micro thrusters, WAGS would be immovable. To increase defense, Wags is outfitted with armor plating that has a liquid core, which reduces bullet penetration. King Wagsmier and his team took every ounce of skill and thought to create Wags, and to make a better Animus Engine for Caninia.

War with Meowkin was almost natural for Caninia. It never stopped and they were always fighting. When Lord Midaz created the Arena Brutalis and invited Caninia, Caninians were the first to reject the proposal. At this time, King Wagsmier was still in power, but was very old and very tired. After much thought, King Wagsmier shocked his empire and eventually decided to join the Arena Brutalis. No one agreed with the King, and some even tried to overthrow him. But what they found is that King Wagsmier was right, and Arena Brutalis was the best thing to happen to the Caninians.

Only second to the Meowkin, the Caninians have won more Primus Gloria than any other Empire. Wags was always at the forefront in the fight, and never ceased to disappoint. Eventually, King Wagsmeir died but was hailed as a hero by all. It was said that King Wagsmier and Lord Midaz had a close friendship towards the end, and made strong trade agreement between each other. But things would change when Lord Midaz was killed.

When Lord Midaz died, the first to be blamed was Caninia. It was easy to blame the historic arch-nemesis. This severed ties of trade between the empires, and eventually led to more wars between them. As an empire, Caninia never faltered in battle; it stayed strong and true from the moment it was created. Eventually, the Meowkin empire crumbled because of civil unrest, and this led to many victories and larger expansion for the Caninians. However, this also drew attention from other empires like the Soarists and the Hoppites; wary of Caninian expansion.

When the Golden Quinctus surfaced and recreated the Arena Brutalis, the Caninians were the first to accept the offer. Not only did they miss the original arena games, they also found it to be a way to stabilize their expanded rule. Having the largest resources and riches, the Caninians would be the clear leaders in the new games. Going into battle, the Caninians still pilot their Wags and utilize their superior defensive capabilities in their attempt to win the Primus Gloria.
